Program Highlights
Summer Internship Program
The Healthfirst Summer Trailblazer Program is a 10-week paid internship. Each summer, we welcome students from various colleges and universities for the Healthfirst Summer Trailblazer Program. These students come to Healthfirst to learn about our mission and to make an impact on our organization and our members. Our program is known for providing valuable career experience and leadership development. The high level of mentorship, guidance and engagement that interns receive distinguishes our program from others.
Summer Medical Internship Program
This 4-week elective medical rotation provides students with an opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of Healthfirst’s unique value-based care model, learn about the importance of quality equitable care and the role of the managed care organization in supporting this mission. During the first half of the program, a 2-week learning intensive, students are exposed to various key facets of the business of healthcare, including pharmacy, data analytics, medical economics, Medicare and Medicaid product overviews, and more. The Program culminates in a final project presentation.
Neurodiversity Internship Program
The Neurodiversity Internship Program, sponsored by the HEART ERG, supported by Human Resources, and in partnership with Specialisterne, gives opportunities for neurodiverse individuals to make an impact on our organization as a paid, full-time intern in our Summer Internship Program.
