Description and Requirements
Hybrid Work Schedule consists of reporting to our 100 Church Street office 3 days per week (Tues/Wed/Thurs).
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Monitor cost, revenue, and utilization trends for provider organizations.
- Partner cross-departmentally to assess provider performance and translate results into clear insights, visuals, and presentations for leadership and external stakeholders.
- Support contract analytics, fee schedule modeling, and financial impact analyses for contract negotiations and budget development.
- Respond to ad-hoc analytical requests, including claims analyses, membership shifts, and the impact of operational or policy changes.
- Stay current on healthcare industry developments, including New York State DOH guidance for Medicaid and CMS updates for Medicare.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution in Finance, Business, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- Familiarity with value-based payment (VBP) models, healthcare cost and utilization trends, and the broader healthcare ecosystem.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with SQL or similar query tools preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to diverse audiences.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with claims data in a payer or provider environment.
- Knowledge of Medicaid and/or Medicare Advantage programs, healthcare claims, and reimbursement methodologies.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Experience supporting provider contracting, risk arrangements, or value-based care initiatives.
Hiring Range*:
Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $68,900 - $99,620
All Other Locations (within approved locations): $61,300 - $91,120
As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.
