Description and Requirements
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop, design, and maintain interactive and visually compelling Tableau dashboards and reports.
- Work independently to analyze, interpret, and visualize complex healthcare insurance data.
- Write and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures for efficient data extraction and transformation.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into effective visual solutions.
- Optimize dashboards for performance and ensure efficient data retrieval.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to Tableau reports, data sources, and dashboards.
- Utilize SQL to extract and manipulate data from various databases.
- Support ad-hoc reporting needs and provide analytical insights to drive business decisions.
- Provide training sessions for users to familiarize them with using Tableau
- Surface any data integrity or quality issues to the relevant engineering team
- Stay up to date with Tableau best practices and emerging data visualization trends.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, or a related field
- 6+ years’ experience in data visualization and analysis
- Proficiency in Tableau software (Desktop, Server, Cloud)
- Strong experience in SQL and database management
- Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes
- Knowledge of data modeling techniques
- Familiarity with programming languages like Python or R
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Detail oriented
- Data storytelling
- Strong team collaboration
Preferred requirements:
- Tableau certification
- Experience working independently with large datasets, preferably in the healthcare insurance industry.
- Experience with Salesforce Platforms (Sales/Service/Marketing Cloud)
Hiring Range*:
Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $91,900 - $132,770
All Other Locations (within approved locations): $80,900 - $120,360
As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.
