Description and Requirements
The Scrum Master manages small to large enterprise-level programs that have department or enterprise-level importance, moderate to high risk and risk interdependencies, several interrelationships, and moderate to high costs associated with delivery. The Scrum Master supports programs of major complexity as part of a program team in support of higher-level program or program managers.
This position requires three days per week in office (Tues//Wed//Thurs) at either: 100 Church Street, NYC or 1101 Greenwood, Lake Mary, FL.
Description & Responsibilities:
- Fostering Communication - creating channels and translating Scrum nuanced language
- Protecting the team - acting as a buffer for disruptive product managers and management
- Tool Maintenance - administer the Scrum tools and framework
- Reporting - creating and delivering reporting framework for team members and management
- Meeting Facilitation - sprint planning, daily scrum//standups, retrospectives
- Agile Coaching - 1:1 with Scrum team members, stakeholders and management
- Team Support - facilitating communication and resolving disagreements, tech
- Remove Blockers - work with the team to understand blockers, work to remove them
- Ensuring that goals, scope, and product domain are understood by everyone on the Scrum Team as well as possible.
- Finding techniques for effective Product Backlog management.
- Helping the Scrum Team understand the need for clear and concise Product Backlog items.
- Understanding product planning in an empirical environment.
- Ensuring the Product Owner knows how to arrange the Product Backlog to maximize value;
- Facilitating Scrum events as requested or needed.
- Coaching the Team in self-organization and cross-functionality;
- Removing impediments to the Team’s progress;
- Facilitating Scrum events as requested or needed
- Coaching the Team in organizational environments in which Scrum is not yet fully adopted and understood.
Minimum Requirements:
- HS Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
- 3-5 years working as a Scrum Master
- Strong Project Management Skills
- Experience in managing or working on projects across multiple departments using an SDLC methodology and Agile//Scrum methodology.
- Experience working in a team environment, exercising independent thinking, problem solving and achieving goals and deadlines.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication and mentoring skills to frequently interact with all levels of the organization
Preferred Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
- CSM Certified
- Experience working in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment.
- Knowledge and//or experience with multiple Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pair Programming, Automated Testing.
- Knowledge of PEGA business platform
- Experience with Mulesoft API's
Hiring Range*:
Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $116,800 - $168,810
All Other Locations (within approved locations): $99,700 - $148,325
As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.
