Products Finance Business Partner Intern – 2026 Summer Internship Healthfirst’s 2026 Summer Trailblazer Internship is a 10-week paid program beginning on June 1, 2026. This is an immersive and interactive learning experience that lays a foundation for continued leadership development. Interns do impactful work, collaborating with other interns, employees, and business leaders to solve current business problems and deliver solutions. Interns must be within a commutable distance from our New York offices at 100 Church Street, and are expected on site Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays Who We Are: For nearly 30 years, Healthfirst has been serving New Yorkers. Position Summary:
The Products Finance Business Partner Intern will play a key role supporting the products (Medicaid, Long-Term Care, and Medicare) and product strategies. This internship offers hands-on experience in financial analysis, strategy development, and cross-functional collaboration, and is a unique opportunity to learn from and contribute to projects that shape corporate strategy.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop an understanding of Healthfirst’s unique business model, with a focus on financial data and trends
Attend meetings with cross-functional teams to learn how the Finance department supports operational decision-making
Assist in analyzing financial data related to all Healthfirst’s products and gain experience in interpreting membership, cost, and revenue trends to identify improvement opportunities
Minimum Qualifications:
- Undergraduate students must be a junior or senior at an accredited institution or have graduated within 12 months of the program. Graduate students must be enrolled at an accredited institution or have graduated within 12 months of the program.
- Will not require sponsorship for employment
- Eligible to work in the U.S.
- Must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA from an accredited school
Preferred Qualifications:
Students currently enrolled as a Junior or Senior in an accredited Bachelor’s degree program, or an accredited Master’s in Healthcare Administration, Math, Business, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related programs
Proficiency in SQL
Work experience with Microsoft Excel - pivot tables, formatting, sorting, formulas such as VLOOKUP
Self-motivated, creative problem solver who can work independently and collaborate through strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience managing projects
Knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare programs
Knowledge of healthcare data (claims, diagnosis and procedure codes, etc.)

Hiring Range*:
Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $40,200 - $54,570
All Other Locations (within approved locations): $34,900 - $52,000
As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.
