Duties & Responsibilities:
Stakeholder Engagement & Brand Representation
Promotes hyper-local value propositions, acting as the Healthfirst ambassador in every phone call and enhancing Healthfirst brand and value propositions
Delivers effective sales presentations over the phone to individual prospects family members and delegated representatives.
Strategy & Initiative Execution
Provides high-quality telephone assistance to drive membership growth, acquiring new members while also meeting aggressive retention targets.
Supports quality and Star Ratings performance by conducting or promoting Health Risk Assessments (HRAs), Medication Adherence, Federal Poverty Limit (FPL), Medicare Savings Program (MSP) and any other initiatives that support quality performance.
Drives sales while facilitating seamless member experience, following operational workflows, and collaborating across teams and departments to support growth, retention and overall member engagement.
Educates prospective members on plan options tailored to their needs and eligibility, ensuring alignment through the “Right Member, Right Plan” approach- including appropriate enrollments and plan transfers to support satisfaction and retention.
Provides competitive intelligence to management on any activities Healthfirst’s market competitors are engaging in: e.g. marketing approach, branding campaign, new designs or benefit changes.
Develops, presents and executes strategic and tactical business acquisition plans for implementation throughout the year.
Operational Excellence & Compliance
Utilizes CRM systems and enrollment platforms to accurately and timely document activities, manage leads, and ensure compliance with operational protocols.
Lives Healthfirst’s mission of “Members are our North Star” to ensure that our goals and activities are guided by member needs and preferences.
Ensures superior customer experience through consistent and timely service, follow-up, and plan benefit reviews.
Strictly adheres to all CMS/DOH regulations and Healthfirst marketing guidelines.
Successfully passes audit (educational and marketing) exams.
Additional duties as necessary.
Work Location
The Medicare Sales Representative will work in a hybrid nature – working remotely most of the time with required visits to corporate or neighborhood offices.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
Must have a valid and unexpired NY Health & Accident License
Ability to manage multiple systems (CRM, Enrollment and Telephony), simultaneously
Ability to collaborate with external/internal stakeholders and support teams for cross-referral and joint promotions
Active participation in continued professional development activities
Ability to travel to the New York City area
Ability to work the majority of the time outside of HF offices with little direct supervision
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
Must have good organizational skills
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
Preferred Qualifications
At least five years in a health plan sales role with a record of consistently producing maximum results in a compliant manner
Ability to use technology and tools including Salesforce, MES and Tableau for prospect/member record keeping and lead management
Associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
Salesforce experience
Bi-lingual (Spanish or Mandarin/Cantonese) a plus

License/Certification: Must have a valid and unexpired NY Health & Accident License
Hiring Range*:
Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $68,900 - $99,620
All Other Locations (within approved locations): $61,300 - $91,120
As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.
