Description and Requirements

This position is responsible for working cross-functionally to monitor, analyze, and generate insights related to financial performance, planning, and new business case development for the State Programs teams. The manager will contribute to a broad set of projects across the department in order to support the State Programs teams on all matters of finance. The position reports to Director, Finance Business Partner.

Hybrid work schedule consists of reporting to our 100 Church Street, NYC 10007 office 3 days a week.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Partner with Finance Business Partner to support State Programs teams to monitor product financial performance

  • Collaborate with teams across the organization, including within the Finance Department, to “connect the dots” and understand all the levers to improve product performance

  • Support business case development for new growth and market opportunities for the State Programs products

  • Monitor budget versus actuals results for each product, to assess their implications and support forecasting and financial planning efforts at the product level

  • Work closely with other teams within Finance to understand the monthly financial results and prepare any supporting materials to provide guidance on key topics for State Programs teams

  • Help to support the development of annual operating plans and quarterly forecasts

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must have an undergraduate degree from an accredited institution in business or finance preferred

  • Must have a solid understanding of, and experience with, financial analysis of managed care products (Medicaid and/or Long-Term Care products) and the overall healthcare industry

  • Must have experience with MS Excel (working with large data sets, utilizing VLOOKUP's, creating and interpreting pivot tables); SQL experience preferred

  • Resourceful and creative in solving complex issues and working collaboratively with others on a solution

  • Ability to understand and translate highly complex concepts to a wide range of audiences

  • Ability to manage projects and project plans within stated timelines

Hiring Range*:

  • Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $100,900 - $145,775

  • All Other Locations (within approved locations): $86,500 - $128,690

As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.
