Description and Requirements
Hybrid Work Schedule:
This consists of reporting to 100 Church Street, NYC 3 days a week.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Create service forms for returned checks and vendor refunds.
Post vendor refunds to the vendors’ account in MHS.
Process Home Medical, Interest Penalty, Member Refund, FQHC, and other incentive transactions in Workday.
Responsible for voiding and reissuing checks upon request, abandoned property issues, provider refunds and returned checks.
Perform stop payment requests to be handled by the Treasury department to send to the bank.
Data entry of check information for returned checks and vendor refunds as received.
Review vendor refunds to be deposited weekly.
Special projects as determined by management.
Oversee and create monthly reporting on payments issued and ensures that detail files are provided to support manual.
Perform reconciliation and analysis of all (claims, capitation, vendor) payments.
Creation of monthly reports of data related to payments for all lines of business.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
Intermediary to Advanced Excel skills, Power Point and Word.
Ability to perform various critical thinking analyses.
Strong communication capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate's degree from an accredited institution.
Experience with Workday.
Experience with accounting functions within Managed Healthcare System (MHS).
Experience with SAS or SQL reporting (i.e., running queries).
Understanding of medical claims processes.
Hiring Range*:
Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $57,408 - $76,960
All Other Locations (within approved locations): $49,795 - $72,800
