Description and Requirements
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Partners with Medicare Team members and others in the organization to develop sound financial plans and the ability to monitor and achieve/exceed those plans
- As a member of the Finance Leadership Team provide leadership within various constituents of Finance that support Medicare products in various forms and functions
- Acts as a key member of the Medicare Management Team, with a strong dotted line reporting to SVP of Medicare
- Creates models and analytics to support business case development and tracking for identified improvements for Medicare Team
- Maintains and enhance financial planning tools and reports to extract and analyze budget to actual results
- Works closely with the Finance team and the Medicare team, and others, to understand monthly financial results and assess their implications
- Partners with Medicare leaders and Total Rewards on the development and oversight of sales plans
- Works with Finance Team in developing and implementing an effective and efficient approach to developing annual operating plans and quarterly forecasts
- Works closely with actuarial team and product management team to support the annual bid process
- Partner with DSE in supporting the Medicare provider reimbursement modernization efforts
- Support Medicare team with QBR, Finance Committee and Board level updates
Minimum Qualifications:
- Undergraduate Degree from an accredited institution in business or finance preferred
- Strong understanding of Medicare product and market dynamics
- Strong understanding of CMS rules and policies impacting Medicare product
- Deep expertise in the financial analysis of managed care products
- Strong expertise in planning and forecasting – methods, techniques and technology to support
- Prior experience in operations management in healthcare
- Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook at the expert level
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA, Graduate degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare Management or equivalent work experience
- Familiarity with Workday
Hiring Range*:
Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $164,700 - $252,025
All Other Locations (within approved locations): $164,700 - $252,025
As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.
