Description and Requirements

The Finance Operations Analyst is responsible for handling all finance operations functions which include claims, capitation, vendor refunds, and analysis. This is a hybrid opportunity - work schedule consists of reporting to our office 3 days per week located at 100 Church Street, NYC.
  • Create service forms for returned checks and vendor refunds in Macess.
  • Post vendor refunds to the vendors’ account in MHS
  • Process Home Medical, Interest Penalty, Member Refund, FQHC, PQRI/eRX and other incentive transactions in Dynamics AX.
  • Responsible for voiding and reissuing checks upon request, abandoned property issues, provider refunds and returned checks.
  • Perform stop payment requests to be handled by the Treasury department to send to the bank.
  • Data entry of check information for returned checks and vendor refunds as received.
  • Prepare vendor refunds to be deposited weekly.
  • Special projects as determined by management.
  • Oversee and create monthly reporting on payments issued and ensures that detail files are provided to support manual.
  • Perform reconciliation and analysis of all (claims, capitation, vendor payments, and etc) payments.
  • Creation of monthly reports of data related to payments for all lines of business.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Experience with accounting functions within a health insurance payer platform.
  • Ability to analyze financial information and reports.
  • Experience with computers, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Experience with SAS or SQL reporting (i.e. running queries)
  • Experience with Workday

Hiring Range*:

  • Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $57,408 - $76,960

  • All Other Locations (within approved locations): $49,795 - $72,800

As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.
