Description and Requirements

The DSE Outreach Specialist performs outbound calls to providers to ensure compliance with Access, Availability & other standards in accordance with State regulatory requirements.
  • Make outbound calls to Healthfirst network providers to validate member access to services and existing demographic information currently contained in the Healthfirst Provider Database in accordance with Access and Availability surveys and Provider Spot check. Outreach providers in support of other DSE operational needs.
  • Serves as a connection between Providers and Field Based teams. Support provider facing teams with internal and external outreach, communicate and document resolution
  • Educate providers around required demographic data maintenance, access and availability standards, and other topics as needed
  • Record responses and initiate database updates accordingly.
  • Compile survey results or other reports for distribution.
  • Coordinate printing and mailing of letters and/or emails to corresponding Providers
  • Field inbound telephone calls from providers, answer their questions, resolve their problems, escalate issues requiring management intervention, and document concise and informative steps for actions taken.
  • Update any needed forms for DSE operations.
  • Participate in workgroup's as assigned by management
  • Assist with larger ad-hoc data entry or other projects.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  •  Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution. or relevant experience
  • Working experience in a outbound customer service capacity dealing with direct consumer and/or business to business interactions either over the phone, in-person or written
  • High level of experience with MS Excel using Pivot tables and other functions
  • Detailed oriented with organizational skills
    • Customer Service experience 
    • Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills

    Preferred Requirements:

    • Customer Service experience in the Healthcare industry and/or at Healthfirst
    • Working experience with Outbound calling campaign's in a Call Center environment.

      Hiring Range*:

      • Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $47,403 - $62,400

      • All Other Locations (within approved locations): $41,101 - $60,320

      As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.
