An easy transition from college life to a career in technology
Healthfirst has launched a new program that offers recent college graduates a smooth transition into the tech workforce. Our 24-month IT Early Career Development Program is designed to kick-start an exciting and rewarding career in technology. Associates will be placed as full-time employees in meaningful roles, where they will gain valuable experience as IT professionals and develop as Trailblazers.
The program provides early-career hires with: • Dedicated mentorship with industry leaders • A collaborative learning environment of smaller cohorts of associates who are also new to Healthfirst. • 1:1 mentorship with program managers to discuss career paths and growth opportunities • Training tailored to the associate’s role, focusing on fine-tuning existing skill sets and gaining new, in-demand industry skills. • A professional network of peers and senior leaders. • An opportunity to do impactful work while developing professionally and technically. • An opportunity to pay it forward and mentor the next class of associates. At the end of the program a graduation ceremony will be held to celebrate the success of each associate and their assignment to a specific team as an experienced member.

There are two distinct program paths: technical and business. Based on their technical skills and interests, each associate is aligned to a path and a role within one of 12 participating teams for the duration of the program.
Facilitate payment of claims to providers who render care toHealthfirst members. Manage transactions in a timely, efficient, and appropriate manner.
Ensure that members utilize and obtain appropriate medical and healthcare services.

Facilitate the enrollment of members in an appropriate health insurance plan. Ensure they receive accurate and timely bills for premium payments.
Java and Object-Oriented Programming
Customer Digital Experience
Foster digital member engagement with Healthfirst across the Customer Call Center, Mobile Experience, and Customer Engagement platforms.
Foundation Skills Computer Science degree; Full-stack development; Java
Corporate Business Technology
Develop and maintain systems, tools, and solutions for the Healthfirst workforce.
Office 365; Data Analytics; Coding with Computer Science fundamentals; SAfe
Digital Provider Collaboration
Engage and facilitate provider engagement with Healthfirst.
Java or any programming language; SQL; MS Office
Provider Data Management
Ensure accurate provider information utilized by all Healthfirst systems.
React JS; Python; SQL; Cloud Engineering
Sales, Product, and Marketing
Ensure that Healthfirst can offer a variety of health insurance plans and can market and sell those plans in the NY State marketplace.
Ensure that Healthfirst has digital correspondence business capabilities that include correspondence lifecycles management.
Object Oriented Programming; SQL; React
Alfresco – Spring Boot
Maintain HF data assets from HF systems and ensure that data from all HF systems can be extracted, transformed, transmitted, and shared with various HF consumers.
SQL; ETL; Technical Writing
Ensure that quality assurance software testing is performed on and for any system or system change that is delivered to the enterprise. Helps enable secure, scalable, accessible, and well-performing systems free of defects.

Infrastructure and Operations
Responsible for Infrastructure Architecture, Engineering and Operations across the Cloud Platform, Workplace Platform, and the IT Operations Center.
