The Managed Care Pharmacy Residency Experience
The Managed Care Pharmacy Residency
program at Healthfirst is the only ASHP
accredited Managed Care program in the
downstate NY area and is designed to
provide the skill set needed for success. In
the ever-changing managed care
environment, the pharmacist plays a key role
in providing access to cost-effective care
that will improve patient outcomes. After
completing the program, residents will have
expanded their clinical experience and
developed a diverse set of managed care
skills through longitudinal, core, and elective
learning experiences. These experiences
include Pharmacy Benefit Manager
Oversight (PBM), Population Health &
Quality, Medication Therapy Management,
academia…and more!
